Android 12 OS that Google brought to developers in February and is currently live through a public beta release comes with an all-new interface.
Google has also offered new privacy controls of which some of them are similar to what Apple provided to its iPhone users through iOS 14.
Android 12 carries elements which base on design language Material You which will also be use for designing the interfaces of Google’s wearables, smart displays, and other hardware in the future.

Confirmed features of Android 12.
- Android Runtime (ART) will be added to Project Mainline with Android 12 which will negate the need for full system updates for small tweaks.
- Google will directly be able to push out small Android updates directly from the Play Store.
- Android 12 will let users to use the Nearby Share feature to transmit Wi-Fi credentials to whomever they want.
- The Android 12 OS will allow users to add text, emojis and stickers while taking screenshots.
- Wallpaper based theming system in which will adopt the predominant shade of your wallpaper and apply it to all of the UI elements.
- Google will bring support for the AVIF image format, which improved image quality compared to JPEG without the penalty of larger file sizes.
- Video transcoding layer will be added for apps that do not support HEVC to request the operating system to transcode it in the AVC file format. This feature will take time to transcode files and might work extremely slowly on budget devices.
