      Assembly Election 2022 : How to Check Poll Results

      The assembly elections are over in five states, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur with all Covid-19 protocols in place. The counting of votes will take place on 10th March 2022.

      A total of 690 assembly constituencies have voted over the next two months, with the maximum in UP (403 seats), Punjab (117), Uttarakhand (70), Manipur (60), and Goa (40).

      Uttar Pradesh has voted in many phases on 10th February 2022, 14th February 2022, 20th February 2022, 23rd February 2022, 27th February 2022, 3rd March 2022, and 7th March 2022.

      Voters in Goa and Uttarakhand exercise their vote in a single phase on 14th February 2022.

      Elections were held in two phases in Manipur on 28th February 2022 and 5th March 2022.

      Punjab voted in single-phase on 20th February 2022.

      Date and Time of Assembly Elections 2022 Results

      Counting of votes in UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur will start at 8 am on 10th March 2022.

      The initial trends will indicate a possible outcome by around mid-day but the final results will be clear only by the evening.

      While the trends are likely to be clearer in Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur by afternoon, the counting is likely to take some time in Uttar Pradesh since the number of seats are 403 and elections were held in seven phases.

      The poll results can be check at the Election Commission of India (ECI) website.

      What Exit Polls Predict about Assembly Elections 2022?

      Many exit polls forecast a clear majority for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh and the AAP in Punjab with some of them giving an edge to the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

      Uttar Pradesh

      A exit polls predict a BJP win in Uttar Pradesh with 242 seats. It showed Samajwadi Party winning 143 seats.

      Punjab

      In Punjab, Exit polls showed the Aam Aadmi Party winning the most seats. It predicted 63 seats for the AAP and 28 seats for the Congress.

      Goa

      A Exit polls indicates that both the BJP and the Congress will end up with 16 seats in Goa each leading the state for another hung assembly. Goa has a 40-member house.

      Uttarakhand

      For Uttarakhand, Exit polls has predicted a close contest between the BJP and Congress with 35 and 32 seats respectively. Uttarakhand has 70 seats.

      Manipur

      In Manipur, the BJP is set to emerge as the largest party with 30 seats, predicts a Exit polls.

      Manipur voted in two phases as the elections were held for the 60-member state assembly.
