The hosts will take on Australia in a four-match Test series starting from 9th February 2023.

The hosts seal their last Test assignment against Bangladesh, now, Rohit Sharma-led side will be without a few of their key players.

Rishabh Pant will miss the whole series while pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be unavailable for the first two Test matches.

Shreyas Iyer, one of the best players of spin in the current Indian line-up, will miss the series opener in Nagpur owing to a back injury he sustain in the ODIs against Sri Lanka.

Australia are coming off a 4-0 home Test season.

The Aussies whitewash West Indies and won 2-0 against South Africa, improving India’s chances of qualification.

The visitors have name four spinners in their squad as the World No. 1 Test team has come all prepare to give India a tough fight.

India will start as favourites being the home team and Australia can’t be taken lightly as it is one of the teams, that challenge the Asian giants on their home soil when the two teams met last time in the longest format in 2017.
