Badhaai Ho is one of the most unprecedented success which change many lives. Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta with Ayushmann Khurrana has a roller coaster ride. Before Badhaai Ho, Gajraj Rao was a part of several cult films but we probably didn’t notice.
When Gajraj Rao was approach for the role, he told the makers that they should approach a big star “since it was a major part”.
He knew that this film will change his life forever.
Ayushmann Khurrana was confident about Gajraj Rao’s casting.
Ayushmann Khurrana was unsure if Neena Gupta would fit in the role, because he felt she had a “hot mummy image.
After he watch her in short film Khujli on director Amir Sharma’s suggestion, he was convince Neena Gupta would be best for the role.
Neena Gupta’s name was suggests by Tabu who was the first choice for the role.
The film’s story was inspire by the personal experience of the writer Akshay Gildial.
Akshay Glidial got the idea of the story after his aunt was born when his uncle was about 25 years of age.
While the film is not exactly the same story but it is loosely inspire by that incident.
