Every iPhone Owner Should Know these 7 Hidden Features On iOS 15

iOS 15 has been release and this time Apple has done wonders with its OS. There are some hidden and secret settings that Apple didn’t talk about. 2YoDo found out some of these hidden features you probably won’t know.

Drag and Drop

Sharing images between apps on iPhone was a difficult process and require additional steps.

This process would get even more annoying if you had to share multiple images at the same time.

You can now drag and drop multiple files from one app into another by simply dragging them.

All you need to do is press and hold on to one image and start tapping on other images.

You can then transfer the selections over to the Photos app, iMessage or WhatsApp.

Drag and drop also works with URLs where you can simply tap and hold on the URL and drag it to your preferred app.

Translate any Text

Apple has now adds the ability to translate any text across the entire system where you just have to select any text and hit the translate option.

When you translated the text then you can even copy your translated text and share it across different apps.

Precipitation Alert

In weather app you can now get real-time precipitation alerts and get notify when it is about to rain or snow.

How to Enable Notifications :

Follow These Steps :

  • Go to Weather app
  • Select the List icon
  • Then select the More button
  • Tap Notifications.
  • Tab Continue
  • Select My Location to get notifications about precipitation for your current location.

Scan Any Text

Now you can scan any text using the camera app or within the system on iOS 15.

It works across all documents, images, billboards, blackboards or anything that has text.

You no longer have to type manually while referring to an image, document or video as you can simply copy the scan text and paste it in notes or pages app.

Adjust Text Size in Apps

If you want to adjust the size of the text in apps then you can now do so by following these simple steps.

Follow These Steps :

  • Go to Settings
  • Then head to Control Center
  • Add the option for Text Size.
  • Now simply swipe down from the top right corner and tap the “aA” button to get a Text Size control panel.

You can now adjust the size of the text in-app using the slider and apply your preference on a per-app basis.

Record What Apps Are Tracking About You

iOS 15 now lets you record apps that track sensitive and personal information about yourself.

You will first need to update your iPhone to iOS 15 if you want to start tracking what apps are doing.

After updating your iPhone Follow These Steps :

  • Go to Settings
  • Then head to Privacy
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  • Tap on the ‘Record App Activity’
  • Turn it on.
  • When enabled then your iPhone will now start recording everything that apps are up to and give a 7-day summary.

This feature will record sensitive activities an app tracks such as the user’s photo library, camera, microphones, the user’s contacts, media library, location data and screen sharing.

Track your iPhone without Power

Apple’s Find My app is a powerful tool to track items, AirPods, MacBooks and other Apple products.

When you lost your iPhone and its battery ran out, it would be very hard to track the device.

But now the iPhone actually enters a low-power state that still keeps your Bluetooth on.

So you can now track your lost phone as if it were an AirTag.
