      Panchang, Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month, starts at 03.33 pm on 30th August 2022, and will conclude at 03.22 pm on 31st August 2022.

      Based on Udaya Tithi, Ganesh Chaturthi’s fast will be observe on 31st August 2022.

      Do’s And Don’ts To Follow While Performing Ganpati Puja

      The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most celebrate festivals in India.

      Lord Ganesha is worship in all over India for good fortune and prosperity.

      Ganesh Chaturthi is widely celebrate in Maharashtra and parts of North India.

      During the Ganeshotsav, devotees bring home Ganesha Idol and worship them with great fervour.

      In the city, every home is decorate before the arrival of Ganpati.

      As per traditions, Ganpati is offer modak as bhog and then serve as prasad.

      When performing Ganesh Puja, there are a lot of rituals and other things that devotees need to keep in mind.

      Do’s
      1. All the devotees as per their faith can bring Ganpati a home for 1.5 days, 3 days, 7 days or 10 days.
      2. Decorate the ‘aasan’ where Ganpati’s idol will be kept.
      3. When Ganesha’s idol is brought home, he should be offer with all the things, be it food, water or prasad, everything must be offered to Lord Ganesh first.
      4. Devotees must prepare sattvic food and first offer Lord Ganesha the dish so that the dishes are bless by him before you consume them.
      5. Ganesha Idol should be made from clay material and colours should be chosen base on the natural spectrum of colours.
      6. No artificial metallic tint should be chosen.
      7. In case you live in a place where there is no pond or any other waterbody nearby, just immerse the idol of Ganesha in your own house, inside a bucket, or a drum.
      8. If not at home, then the idol to a nearby natural reservoir for immersion.
      Don’ts
      1. Lord Ganesha must not be left at home alone unattended.
      2. At least one family member must stay along with him.
      3. Don’t send off Lord Ganesha without performing aarti or offering Puja and Bhog.
      4. Do not close the main door of the house while installing the idol or at the time of immersing him.
      5. Installation of Lord Ganesha at home should be conduct according to the muhurta.
      6. Delay should not hamper the benefit that you accrue from the observance.
      7. Do not immerse a huge idol of Ganpati near the bank of the river but rent a boat to do so.
      8. Meat and alcohol should be strictly avoided and is also strictly prohibited.
      9. During the auspicious festival, stealing and cheating is strictly prohibited.
