Google Maps speed limit feature shows you speed limit of the road youu are on and warns you if you are exceeding it. Google Maps also shows you speed you are driving at but advises you to check your speed on the car’s speedometer.
Speedometer in the app is for informational use only and you should not solely rely on it.
The speed limit is shown on the bottom left corner of the map while navigating that shows the estimated time of arrival (ETA) along with other information.
Google shows the speed limit of the area the user is in.
The speed limit function is currently not available in all regions.

How to Turn on Speed Limit Warning in Google Maps for Andriod?
Follow These Steps :
- Open Google Maps.
- On the top right corner, click on Profile picture or your initials.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll down to Navigation Settings.
- Go to the Speed Limits setting to toggle it on or off.
You will also be notified by Google Maps if you are exceeding the speed limit on the road they’re driving on.
