      Indian Embassy Issues Advisory to Citizens in Ukraine for Quick Entry to Poland | Details Inside

      Indian Embassy in Poland issue an urgent advisory to Indian nationals in Ukraine urging them to travel at the earliest to the Budomierz border for a quick entry into Poland.

      Since Russia invade Ukraine on 24th February 2022, the Indian government has been coordinating efforts to evacuate all Indian nationals in the country via Poland, Romania, Hungary and other neighbouring countries under Operation Ganga.

      Union Minister General VK Singh is in Poland to oversee the evacuation efforts there.

      Details of Indian Embassy Advisory to Citizens in Ukraine

      The advisory issue by the Indian Embassy in Poland asks Indians in Lviv, Ternopil and other places in western Ukraine to travel at the earliest to Budomierz border check-point to enter Poland quickly.

      Alternatively, Indian Citizens are advise to travel south to transit via Hungary or Romania.

      The Embassy has deploy officials at Medyka and Budomierz border check-points to receive all evacuees and facilitate their travel to India.

      The advisory told nationals to avoid the Shehyni-Medyka border crossing on account of it being congested.

      Indian Embassy said in its advisory that those who enter Poland from border crossings where Indian officials are not deploy should go to Hotel Prezydencki in Rzeszow where arrangements have been made for their stay.

      Transportation charges will be paid at the hotel by the Embassy, in case the Indian student does not have funds for this.
