India’s Harnaaz Sandhu Won the Miss Universe 2021 Crown. The official Twitter account of Miss Universe has posted a short clip of the exact moment of the contest held in Eilat, Israel. Punjab-base Harnaaz, won the Miss Universe crown 21 years after Lara Dutta won the title in 2000.
Harnaaz waited with bated breath for the announcement during the winning moment.
She couldn’t control her tears of joy as India was announce the winner of Miss Universe 2021.
Andrea Meza, former Miss Universe 2020 from Mexico, crown Harnaaz at the event.
Before Harnaaz, only two Indians have won the Miss Universe crown, Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000.
Harnaaz is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Public Administration.
Harnaaz Sandhu beat contestants Paraguay and South Africa during the Miss Universe 2021 contest.
