      iPhone 16 Series Launched in India

      iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus launch by Apple at its latest hardware launch event. Both smartphones are power by a new A18 chip and run on iOS 18, along with support for Apple Intelligence.

      iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max also launch at Apple’s ‘It’s Glowtime’ launch event. Both are most capable smartphones and are power by the top-of-the-line A18 Pro chip, that also powers new Apple Intelligence features that are part of iOS 18.

      As per Apple, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max comes in Black Titanium, Desert Titanium, Natural Titanium, and White Titanium colour options.

      All phones will be available to preorder starting from 13th September 2024.

      iPhone 16 Series are schedule to go on sale via Apple’s online store in India on 20th September 2024.

      Apple is also offering a Rs. 5,000 instant discount on American Express, Axis Bank, and ICICI Bank cards.

      You can also opt for 3 or 6 months no cost EMI on purchase and can get up to Rs. 67,500 on exchange, as per Apple. 

      Specifications

      iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

      You get up to 512GB of inbuilt storage on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. 

      iPhone 16

      The iPhone 16 is a dual SIM (US: eSIM, Worldwide: Nano+eSIM) handset that runs on iOS 18.

      iPhone 16 is power by a 3nm octa-core A18 chipset that features a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, and a 16-core neural engine.

      These phones will support Apple Intelligence features showcase by the company at WWDC 2024 that will also make their way to the iPhone 15 Pro models.

      iPhone 16 comes with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, upgraded Ceramic Shield protection, and the Dynamic Island.

      The iPhone 16 has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

      iPhone 16 Plus

      The iPhone 16 Plus has the same specifications has the standard model, but has a larger 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display.

      The iPhone 16 Plus also get the Action button with a new Camera control button on the right side.

      You can use the latter to zoom, click pictures, record video and more with just a tap or slide. 

      iPhone 16 Plus are equip with a 48-megapixel wide angle camera with 2x in-sensor zoom and an f/1.6 aperture, and they also feature a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus.

      The ultrawide camera also enables macro photography.

      iPhone 16 Plus has a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera on the front.

      The iPhone 16 Plus has new camera design also enables Spatial video and photo capture. 

      iPhone 16 Pro | iPhone 16 Pro Max

      The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are dual SIM (US: eSIM, Worldwide: Nano+eSIM) smartphones that run on iOS 18 out-of-the-box.

      Both are power by Apple’s second-generation 3nm A18 Pro chip that is claim to offer a 15 percent increase in performance compared to last year’s models, while using 20% less power.

      Both phones will eventually offer support for all Apple Intelligence features when iOS 18.1 rolls out.

      iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED displays, respectively, with a 120Hz refresh rate (ProMotion), up to 2,000nits peak brightness, and Apple’s upgraded Ceramic Shield protection.

      Both iPhone 16 Pro models are equip with a triple rear camera setup that comprises a 48-megapixel wide primary camera with an f/1.78 aperture, an upgraded 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.8 aperture and a ‘tetraprism’ periscope lens that offers up to 5x optical zoom performance. 

      A 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera with an f/1.9 aperture on the front, for taking video calls and capturing selfies.

      Both phones also support 4K 120fps recording. 

      In addition to the Action button that replaced the mute switch last year, Apple has also equip the new iPhone 16 series with a touch sensitive Camera Control button that can be use to quickly launch the camera. 

      All these phones have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. 

      iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max get up to 1TB of storage with connectivity support 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPSconnectivity with a USB 3.0 Type-C port.

      All phones can be charge at 27W using a compatible charger, or at 15W using a MagSafe or Qi2-compatible wireless charging adapter.
