      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV Launch in India. Mahindra & Mahindra Limited said it aims to deliver 20,000 units of its electric SUV XUV400, In the first year of hitting the market. M&M, which had unveiled the Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV in September 2022, said the vehicle would be launch in two variants across 34 cities in phase I (First).

      The EC variant of Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV comes with a 34.5kWh battery with a range of 375km.

      M&M said :

      “We aims to deliver 20,000 units of the XUV400 within a year of its launch, considering the challenges of the structural gap between the demand and supply of automotive-grade semiconductors and the availability of battery packs”.

      M&M President, Automotive Sector Veejay Nakra said :

      “This is a brand that we have developed specifically for those customers who want to be in charge of a more sustainable tomorrow. We are confident that our first electric SUV will excite and inspire more consumers in India to go electric,”.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV has launch at an introductory price starting at Rs. 15.99 lakh.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV will be available with two charger options, 3.3kW price set at Rs. 15.99 lakh and 7.2kW price set at Rs 16.49 lakh.

      The EL trim has a 39.4kWh battery with a range of 456km with 7.2kW charger price set at Rs. 18.99 lakh.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV comes in five shades: Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue.

      Some paint options can also be had with a copper-colour roof.

      The introductory prices are applicable for first 5,000 bookings of each of variants, EC and EL.

      Bookings for the Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV will start from 26th January, 2023 and the deliveries will begin in March 2023 for ‘EL‘ variant and during Diwali festive season for ‘EC‘ variant, as per M&M statement.

      Mahindra is offering its first long-range EV with a standard warranty of three years/unlimited kms and will additionally come with a warranty of eight years/1,60,000kms (whichever is earlier) for the battery and motor. 

      Specifications

      The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV is based on the Mahindra XUV300 but in a longer form, measuring 4.2m.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV does share design and feature commonalities with the sub-4m SUV but gets EV-specific revisions such as a close grille and copper highlights inside and out.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV cabin gets copper highlights as seen on the centre console and steering wheel (the latter is akin to the XUV700’s).

      The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV has equip with an updated EV-specific MID and a seven-inch touchscreen with EV-related graphics.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV features on board include manual AC, a sunroof, and connect car tech.

      The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV safety kit consists of six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), cornering brake control, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and multiple active safety features as well.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV comes with two battery pack options, 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh.

      34.5kWh variant has a range of 375km, the 39.4kWh can promise 456km (both MIDC-rated) between recharges.

      The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV’s motor puts out 150PS and 310Nm.

      The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV can get speed from 0-100kmph in 8.3 seconds and its top speed is cap at 150kmph.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV has multi-drive modes as well namely, Fun, Fast and Fearless.

      The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV can also be charge using a 7.2kW AC wallbox charger, which takes six and a half hours for a full charge.

      A 3.3kW charger needs 13 hours to do the same.

      Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV also gets a ‘single-pedal’ mode, and its 0-100kmph sprint requires 8.3 seconds.

      The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV supports 50kW DC fast charging as well which can replenish the battery in less than an hour.
