Facebook’s first neural interface device is coming as Mark Zuckerberg Tease Facebook’s Wristband Which Control Other Devices. This new smart glasses project in collaboration with eyewear company EssilorLuxottica.
In a Facebook post, Mark Zuckerberg share a photo of the eyewear company’s chairman wearing a prototype of a neural interface wristband.
This wristband has design to direct other devices.
Mark Zuckerberg Said :
“Here Leonardo is using a prototype of our neural interface EMG [electromyography] wristband that will eventually let you control your glasses and other devices,”.
In 2021 Facebook’s parent company Meta in a blog post announce that it plan to create a wristband that would allow users to control augment reality glasses in turn, allowing users to interact with a virtual world simply using finger movements.
Meta and EssilorLuxottica have made glasses before.
Both companies sell a classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer that allows the user to capture photos and listen to music and calls that came out in 2020.
A lot of tech companies are now cashing in on the wearable tech business.
These are the same companies pitching various metaverses as the future of internet.
Both Google and Amazon are also betting on smart glasses to replace phones eventually altogether.
