      Netflix has Announced Total 41 Indian titles for 2021| All Details

      HI FRIENDS,

      Netflix has unveiled 15 Indian series for 2021 including five new ones.

      The 15 Indian original series were part of Netflix’s “See What’s Next India” event.

      Netflix has total unveile 41 Indian titles for 2021, and they are pack with enough names that there’s something to delight everyone.

      Stars the likes of Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Jitendra Kumar, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shefali Shah, Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal, Vikrant Massey, Kartik Aaryan, Dhanush, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Arjun Kapoor, Mithila Palkar, Raveena Tandon, R. Madhavan, Kapil Sharma, Manoj Bajpayee, Kay Kay Menon, Shweta Tripathi, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Ali Fazal, Sakshi Tanwar, and John Abraham.

      And they come from the minds of Mani Ratnam, Neeraj Ghaywan, Abhishek Chaubey, Vikramaditya Motwane, Anushka Sharma, Imtiaz Ali, Ram Madhvani, Ekta Kapoor, Alankrita Shrivastava, Abbas-Mustan, and Ronnie Screwvala among many others.

      Dharma Productions is the most common fixture in Netflix’s with five projects in total across the board.

      Other major production houses include Viacom18 Studios, Anil Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment, Screwvala’s RSVP, T-Series, Lionsgate, Ekta’s Balaji Telefilms, Anushka’s Clean Slate Films, Endemol Shine, Condé Nast India, Vice Media, India Today, and AwesomenessTV.

      This is the biggest Netflix has announced in one go from India.

      The 41 new titles are already more than what Netflix India has released in years past.

      Aranyak

      Starring Tandon, after a foreign teenage tourist disappears in the misty Himalayan town, a harried, local cop Kasturi must join hands with her citybred replacement Angad, on a big-ticket case that digs up skeletons and revives a forgotten Himalayan myth of a bloodthirsty, serial killing entity in the forest.

      Parambrata Chatterjee, Ashutosh Rana, Zakir Hussain, and Megna Malik also star.

      Sippy is the showrunner, Vinay Waikul the director, and Charudutt Acharya the writer.

      Aranyak is a production of Roy Kapur Films and Ramesh Sippy Entertainment.

      Decoupled

      Decoupled from Joseph, follows Arya Iyer, a man who suffers from chronic objectivity, extreme clarity and the debilitating capacity to see in any situation what others are trained to ignore.

      It gets him in trouble with people wherever he goes.

      His marriage is over but he has persuade his strange wife who plays by Surveen Chawla to continue living with him in a large villa in Gurgaon to create the myth of family for their tween daughter, who is terrify of their divorce.

      Arya as the second highest-selling pulp fiction writer in India after his old foe Chetan Bhagat, is a celebrity who has everything a man wants fame, money, a daughter who adores him, a home run by a woman and a hot young girlfriend.

      Mining from the banal realism of daily life, Decoupled is an uncompromising comedy about the true nature of people, India and marriage.

      Feels Like Ishq

      Feels Like Ishq is an anthology of seven warm and breezy stories about the kindling of young love.

      Starring consist of Madan, Maniktala, Marie Khan and Madhav, Amol Parashar, Kajol Chugh, Mihir Ahuja, Kymsleen Kholie, Bhavesh Babani, Simran Jehani, Rohit Saraf, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Saba Azad, and Skand Thakur.

      Ruchir Arun, Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, Ashima Chibber, Anand Tiwari, Danish Aslam, Jaydeep Sarkar, and Sachin Kundalkar are the seven directors.

      Monisha Thyagarajan, Gazal Dhaliwal, Akanksha Tewari, Saurabh Swamy, Sulagna Chatterjee, Shubhra Chatterji, Arati Raval-Pandey, Sarkar, and Kundalkar are the writers.

      Feels Like Ishq is a production of Mutant Films and AwesomenessTV.

      Ray

      Ray, previously announced as X-Ray by Voot in 2018, is an anthology series based on Satyajit Ray’s short stories.

      The episodes will will be “full of thrills, twist and turns and a strong emotional core”.

      Srijit Mukherji, Vasan Bala, and Chaubey have directed the four episodes.

      Niren Bhatt and Siraj Ahmed wrote. 

      Ray is a production of Viacom 18’s Tipping Point.

      Cast consist of Manoj Bajpayee, Gajraj Rao, Kay Kay Menon, Ali Fazal, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Shweta Basu Prasad, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Rajesh Sharma, Bidita Bag, Kharaj Mukherjee, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Shruthy Menon, Anindita Bose, Neeraj Purohit, Lovleen Misra, Raghubir Yadav, and Manoj Pahwa.

      Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein

      Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is showrun and directed by Sengupta, who also co-wrote with Anahata Menon, Varun Badola.

      Starcast are Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi, Anchal Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Surya Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Arunoday Singh, Anant Joshi, Sunita Rajwar, and Hetal Gada. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is a production of Edgestorm Pictures.

      Bombay Begums

      Bombay Begums releasing on March 8 on Netflix and was also part of Netflix’s last big Indian announcement when it unveile 17 titles.

      Stars are Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur, Aadhya Anand, Rahul Bose, Danish Husain, Vivek Gomber and Imaad Shah.

      Bombay Begums is a production of Endemol Shine India, Endeavor Content, and Chernin Entertainment.

      Finding Anamika

      Finding Anamika starring Dixit Nene in the lead, was announce in December 2019.

      It’s now being describe as a suspenseful family drama about a global superstar, wife, and mom who suddenly vanishes without a trace.

      Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Suhasini Muley, and Muskkaan Jaferi also star.

      Sri Rao is the writer with Nisha Mehta.

      Karishma Kohli and Bejoy Nambiar are directors.

      Finding Anamika is a production of Dharmatic, the digital label of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

      Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra are producers.

      Mai

      Mai, from Anushka and Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films and announced in July 2019.

      Wamiqa Gabbi, Vivek Mushran, Prashant Narayanan, Raima Dev Varma, and Seema Pahwa are also part of Netflix’s Mai’s star cast.

      Atul Mongia is the director, and writer, alongside director Anshai Lal and writers Amita Vyas and Tamal Kumar Sen.

      Crime Stories : India Detectives

      Filmed with senior officers at home and at work, this is a unique window into the lives of Bengaluru’s police officers as they attempt to detect the most complex and serious crimes in the city.

      House of Secrets : The Burari Deaths

      House of Secrets : The Burari Deaths explores the intricate, complex and sometimes hidden workings of a traditional Indian family.

      The three-part Documentary takes an exploratory look at a case that shook up the whole nation.

      The infamous Burari case, where 11 members of a ‘happy’ family, spanning three generations, were found dead inside their house in Delhi.

      Indian Predator

      Indian Predator is a thrilling and suspenseful Documentary that attempts to decode the minds of some of India’s deadliest killers.

      The series uncovers the never-before-heard details of gruesome killings as individuals who were at the epicentre of these crimes talk about what went down.

      Ayesha Sood, Umesh Kulkarni, Ashwin Shetty, and Dheeraj Jindal are directors of Indian Predator episodes.

      Indian Predator is a production of Vice Media and India Today.

      Searching for Sheela

      Osho’s controversial ex-secretary, Ma Anand Sheela returns to India after 34 years of exile.

      Sheela having re-shot to fame since the mega reception to the Netflix documentary Wild Wild Country, is now parcelling her life to the world. 

      Searching for Sheela is an intimate look into her journey across India, observing the rebranding of her as a pop culture icon, with audiences unable to decide if they deem her a “criminal” or remain in awe of her sassy secretary days.

      Shakun Batra is an executive producer on Searching for Sheela.

      Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra are producers.

      Bulbul Tarang

      Bulbul Tarang starring Sonakshi Sinha is about a chirpy young girl called Bulbul who has one simple dream.

      She wants her groom, Rishi Kumar, to come in his baraat atop a horse.

      Soon enough Bulbul realises that her innocent, harmless wish will meet resistance in their traditional village of Kannauj.

      But Bulbul is adamant to have her way and fight for what’s right.

      Narayan Singh is director and Arshad Sayeed script writor.

      It also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin.

      Bulbul Tarang is a production of Anil Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment.

      Haseen Dillruba

      Haseen Dillruba starring Tapsi Pannu in the lead and directed by Vinil Mathew.

      This is about a woman whose heart longs to live like words captured in a novel, and finds herself entangled in the murder of her own husband.

      It also stars Vikrant Massey, Harshvardhan Rane, and Hansika Motwani. Haseen Dillruba is a production of Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma’s Colour Yellow Productions, and T-Series.

      Jaadugar

      Jaadugar starring Jitendra Kumar and directed by Sameer Saxena follows Magic Meenu, a small-time magician in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh who must win a local football tournament in order to marry the love of his life.

      There are just two things against him first the girl doesn’t love him back and his team hasn’t won a game in years.

      Arushi Sharma is also part of the cast.

      Biswapati Sarkar is the writer.

      Jaadugar is a production of Posham PA Pictures.

      Milestone

      Milestone from Ivan Ayr’s , premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival to positive reviews.

      It’s the story of a recently bereaved, middle-aged truck driver, Ghalib, who is coping with a personal tragedy and the consequences thereafter, while facing the existential threat of losing his job to a young recruit.

      The events in the story come together as Ghalib’s truck touches the 500,000-kilometre mark, a record at his company.

      Suvinder Vicky, Lakshvir Saran star.

      Milestone is a production of Kimsi Singh’s Jabberwockee Talkies.

      Penthouse

      Penthouse from the Abbas–Mustan, story of five married friends who share a penthouse flat as the perfect solution for their indulgences.

      But one morning, a body of an unknown woman is found in the penthouse.

      Friendships are tested, loyalties are questioned, and marriages crumble as the shocking truth unravels in this relentless whodunit.

      Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal, Sharman Joshi, Mouni Roy, Cyrus Broacha, Tisca Chopra, and Abrar Zahoor star.

      Pranati Rai Prakash is said to have a role.

      Ajeeb Dastaans

      Ajeeb Dastaans produced by Karan Johar and story is an anthology of four strangely contrasting stories that delve into fractured relationships and unexplored spaces.

      The stories are set in varied milieus, explore jealousy, entitlement, prejudices, and toxicity that are often entangled within the heart of their relationships.

      Each story also takes you on a journey where one would struggle with the moral dilemma of what’s right and what’s wrong, as the lines between them get blurred.

      Dhamaka 

      Dhamaka is an official remake of the 2013 Korean film The Terror Live and follows a frustrated ex-news anchor led by Aaryan is given another chance to go live on prime-time television when a terrorist calls him with a bomb threat.

      Little does he know that this call will change his life and throw him into a fast-paced game of betrayal, forcing him to make a choice between his future career or the humanist in him.

      It also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amruta Subhash, Vikas Kumar and Vishwajeet Pradhan. Ram Madhvani directs off a script he co-wrote with Puneet Sharma.

      Dhamaka is a production of Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and Ram Madhvani Films in association with Lotte Cultureworks, Globalgate Entertainment, and Lionsgate India.

      The Disciple

      The Disciple from writer-director Chaitanya Tamhane won best screenplay at the 2020 Venice International Film Festival.

      The Marathi-language film follows an Indian classical music vocalist who “starts to wonder whether it’s really possible to achieve the excellence he’s striving for.”

      Aditya Modak, Dr. Arun Dravid, Sumitra Bhave, Deepika Bhide Bhagwat, and Kiran Yadnyopavit lead The cast.

      Alfonso Cuarón as the executive producer alongside Rakesh Mehra.

      The Disciple is a production of Vivek Gomber’s Zoo Entertainment.

      Jagame Thandhiram

      Jagame Thandhiram is the story of Suruli (Dhanush), a gangster who has to choose between good and evil in a war for what one can truly call home.

      Karthik Subbaraj writes and directs.

      The Tamil-language film also stars James Cosmo, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, and Joju George.

      Jagame Thandhiram is a production of S. Sashikanth’s YNot Studios and Anil Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment.

      Meenakshi Sundereshwar 

      Meenakshi Sundereshwar follows a young couple Abhimanyu Dassani and Sanya Malhotra who enter into an arranged marriage because their first names together make Madurai, Tamil Nadu’s famous temple “Meenakshi – Sundareshwar”.

      When a job opportunity exclusively for single men pops up in Bengaluru, Sundareshwar has to leave his hometown and his wife Meenakshi, and pretend to be unmarried.

      The newlywed couple who barely know each other, struggle with the trials, tribulations, and insecurities of a long-distance relationship.

      Vivek Soni directs off a script he co-wrote with Aarsh Vora.

      Karan Johar is among the producers.

      Meenakshi Sundereshwar is a production of Dharmatic.

      Navarasa

      Navarasa is an anthology made up of nine short films based on the nine rasas (emotions).

      Anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder.

      Revathy, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Anjali, Aditi Balan, Remya Nambeesan, Poorna, Prayaga Martin, Rythvika Suriya, Vijay Sethupathy, Arvind Swamy, Siddarth, Prakashraj, Yogi Babu, Prasanna, Atharva, Bobby Simha, Gautham Menon, Ashok Selvan, Nedumudi Venu, Delhi Ganesh, and Kishore are starrcast.

      The nine directors are Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Karthik Subbaraj, Karthick Naren, KV Anand, Ponram, Rathindran Prasad, and Halitha Shameem.

      Pagglait 

      Pagglait is the story of widowed Sanya Malhotra struggling to mourn the death of her husband, as she sets out on the path of self-discovery, attempting to find her identity and purpose in life all this while living amidst the quirky members of her joint family.

      Sayani Gupta, Shrutii Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Meghna Malik and Rajesh Tailang are also part of the cast.

      Umesh Bist is writor and director.

      Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga, and Achin Jain are the producers.

      Pagglait is a production of Balaji Telefilms and Sikhya Entertainment.

      Sardar Ka Grandson

      Sardar Ka Grandson shows the journey of a US-return grandson Arjun Kapoor who will go to any length to fulfil the last wish of his fun-loving grandmother Neena Gupta, who presides over a large Punjabi family as the matriarch.

      Rakul Preet Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari, John Abraham, Soni Razdan, Kanwaljeet Singh, Kumud Mishra, and Divya Seth also starring.

      Kaashvie Nair is director, Anuja Chauhan is writor.
