      Nitin Gadkari Announced Construction of Delhi-Lucknow Expressway

      People will now be able to travel between Delhi and Lucknow in just three and a half hours once the new expressway link will be constructed, Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari said.

      The Union Road Transport and Highway minister said that a new expressway link will be built to connect both the cities to reduce the commute time.

      Nitin Gadkari was speaking at the inauguration of the intelligent transport system (ITS) on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

      Nitin Gadkari said that the groundbreaking ceremony of the expressway link will be held within ten to twelve days in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

      Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the new Delhi-Lucknow expressway project has been taken up upon the request of General Vijay Kumar Singh.

      Terming it as the beginning of a new era of smart and green highways in India, the BJP leader Nitin Gadkari said that they have made a plan to connect Delhi and Lucknow.

      Nitin Gadkari formally dedicate to the nation the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and also integrate an integrate command control room in Ghaziabad’s Dasna.

      The control room has been set up to keep an eye on the activities taking place on the expressway, as per report.

      New expressway will connect Lucknow to Kanpur and Kanpur to Ghaziabad.

      In the first phase, the expressway link will be built from Kanpur to Lucknow and the construction work will be carried on further.

      As per reports, modern cameras have been install on both the expressways having Japan-base technology which allows vehicles to move at a certain speed.

      Those who violate the rules, will be given an e-challan.

      The Nitin Gadkari went on to claim that the roads of Uttar Pradesh will match the standard of American and European nations within five years.

      Emphasising that the Indian economy will achieve its target of five trillion dollars in the next five years, Nitin Gadkari said that the income generate from the toll tax collect by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials is expect to go up.

      Nitin Gadkari said that the existing income of Rs 40,000 crores will increase up to Rs 1.40 lakh crores every year in the next three years.

      The report said that the infrastructural boost of India is inviting investors and tourism is also on the rise.
