Samsung TV Plus over-the-top video streaming service for its smart TVs is available in India.
The ad-supported service is available in 14 other countries including the US, the UK, and Canada, and also includes on-demand content apart from free live TV channels.
The service will also be available on Galaxy phones in April.

Samsung TV Plus service made its debut in 2015.
A 100% free service with over 15 million active users.
There are no paid subscriptions, or necessary debit or credit card signs ups, on Samsung TV Plus.
Samsung TV Plus brings content across genres including news, lifestyle, technology, gaming and science, sports, music, and movies.
Users won’t need to sign up for any subscriptions to access the content via the free service.

More partners will be on-boarded soon to make the service more robust.
The current list of free channels includes 9XM, 9X Jalwa for local music, and Qwest TV Jazz & Beyond, Qwest TV Classical, and Qwest TV Mix for global music.
Global lifestyle channels include The Q, Insight TV, Fuel TV, and Wonder, among others. Republic TV and Republic Bharat are the only two news channels supported currently.
Samsung TV Plus Service Platforms
The service wil be live across all Samsung smart TV models from 2017 to 2021.
Samsung Galaxy phone users will also be able to access it in April.
Most Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablet devices with Android Oreo or higher software version will be able to access it in India.
The TV Plus app can be downloaded from either the Samsung Galaxy Store or Google Play Store.
All new Samsung TVs and smartphones should come with TV Plus by default in the future.
