Last T20 World Cup played 5 years back. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 event was to held last year too in Australia but for the pandemic that made it nearly impossible for a tournament.
ICC after holding discussions take the decision that the 2020 edition will now be held in 2022 in Australia but 2021 edition will remain in India.
The ICC decided to shift the venue of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 to Oman and UAE but the hosting rights remained with BCCI.
ICC confirm the fixtures list.
The qualifiers start from 17th October 2021 while the tournament proper starts off six days later with Australia taking on South Africa on 23rd October 2021.
India will start their journey for a T20 World title on 24th October 2021 in a blockbuster clash against Pakistan in Dubai.
India the 2007 World T20 winners has got a place in Group 2 with Pakistan, Afghanistan and New Zealand. Also they will be join by two teams from the qualifiers stage.

- October 24, 2021: India vs Pakistan, Dubai (7:30 PM IST)
- October 31, 2021: India vs New Zealand, Dubai (7:30 PM IST)
- November 3, 2021: India vs Afghanistan, Dubai (7:30 PM IST)
- November 5, 2021: India vs Qualifier (B1), Dubai (7:30 PM IST)
- November 8: India vs Qualifer (A2), Dubai (7:30 PM IST)
- Semifinal 1 will be play on 10th November 2021 (Abu Dhabi).
- Semifinal 2 will be play on 11th November 2021 (Dubai)
- Finale will be play on 14th November 2021 (Dubai)
Final will have one as a reserve day.
