WhatsApp is rolling out a cashback feature for users who often use Payments. This feature offers cashback to users on UPI transactions via WhatsApp Payments. Feature is said to be rolling out to Android and iOS beta users both.
Feature may be rolling out to specific beta testers only, and not all users who use payments will be receiving cashback.
There is no clarity on when this feature be fully roll out for all users on WhatsApp.
A cashback of Rs. 51 is given for each transaction with Rs. 255 worth of cashbacks.
WhatsApp Payments cashback feature is enable for specific beta testers only.
There is reportedly no way to enable the cashback if your WhatsApp account is not include in their promotional campaign.
There is also no clarity on how WhatsApp selects users to test this feature.
WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.22.21 and WhatsApp beta for iOS 2.21.220.14 are said to be compatible updates, but some users may get the feature on previous updates as well.
As per reported that this amount of cashback Rs. 51 stays the same, as long as each transaction is worth Re. 1 or above.
To encourage more users to try out WhatsApp Payments, WhatsApp recently introduce a range of stickers in payments.
WhatsApp collaborate with five Indian women artists to offer a new pack of Payments stickers for its users in India.
These stickers are essentially built on various cultural expressions relate to money exchange.
