Indian cricket team will travel to Ireland for the second time in as many years in what will be their final international assignment ahead of the 2023 Asia Cup. This will also be the last three T20I matches the Team India will face before their attention turns towards the 50-over format till the 2023 World Cup.
This series will marks the return of star pacer Jasprit Bumrah after an 11-month absence due to injury.
Jasprit Bumrah will be leading the Indian team in this series, and this will be the first instance of him taking charge of the side in white-ball cricket.
Jasprit Bumrah’s return is crucial for Team India’s World Cup hopes, as team India will hope he can prove his fitness and gain some match practise and form too.
Even Prasidh Krishna is making a comeback to competitive cricket after a long gap of one whole year following a stress fracture in his back.
India are sending a second-string team apart from Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh, and Sanju Samson, no player in the plans for the 50-over World Cup is in contention.
From the team that played five T20Is in the West Indies, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal are not travelling to Ireland.
