Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announce the rescheduling of two matches Indian Premier League (IPL). These fixtures are between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) vs Delhi Capitals (DC) have reschedule, as per BCCI.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) fixture will now take place on 16th April 2024 instead of 17th April 2024 and the Gujarat Titans (GT) vs Delhi Capitals (DC) match has push a day ahead on 17th April 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
As BCCI didn’t given any reason for the changing of dates, reports suggest that the schedule change has necessitated due to the Ram Navami festivities.

Ram Navami is the popular Hindu festival honours the birth of Lord Rama.
BCCI knows that authorities are unsure of providing security for the IPL match, that too at night.
Also, India will be witnessing the general elections later this month.

As it was last week only that BCCI release the complete schedule for 2024 tournament, having release the programme for the 21 games, under phase 1 earlier.
The second schedule begins on 8th April 2024, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) playing the first game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a home clash in the evening, starting at 7:30 pm.
As per the new announcement, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator on 21st and 22nd May 2024, respectively and Chepauk will host the Qualifier 2 and Final of IPL 2024.
