X Reduced Minimum Requirement for Impressions for Ad Revenue Sharing and soon Allow Users to Make Calls | Details Inside

X has recently announce a significant reduction in the minimum requirement for impressions, which directly impacts ad revenue sharing. Also, they have exciting plans to introduce a new feature that will soon enable users to make calls, as per reports.

Elon Musk’s X Reduces Minimum Requirement for Impressions for Ad Revenue Sharing to 5 Million

X, formerly known as Twitter announce a new update to their Ads Revenue program for creators, reducing the minimum amount of impressions need from 15M to 5M.

The company tweeted from its official handle :

X has also lower its payment threshold from USD 5O to USD 10.

Elon Musk on the other hand shared some more information regarding the new update and tweeted :

As before, the micro-blogging site require users to have a minimum of 15 million impressions within three months to qualify for ad revenue sharing.

According to report, Elon Musk announce the revenue-sharing plan in February, and the company sent out the first round of payments for eligible accounts, with paid verification via Twitter Blue or Verified organizations, 15 million “organic” impressions in the last three months, and at least 500 followers, a couple of weeks ago before opening up registration to more people.

X to soon allow users to make calls

Elon Musk’s obsession with the alphabet aside, Twitter’s X rebrand isn’t all meaningless.

As X aims to become an all-encompassing app that will offer features beyond micro-blogging.

And so little has done in that direction aside from stripping Twitter from all indications of its former branding, that seems to be changing now.

Andrea Conway, a designer at X, has hint that the platform may soon gain a built-in voice call feature.

In a post, she reveal that she “just called someone on X”.

And X DMs do support voice messages, support for calls will definitely be a first.

Right now, the only way to have live conversations on the platform is through Spaces, a feature that resembles social audio app Clubhouse’s offering.

But since anyone can tune into Spaces or request to chime in the conversation, it’s not suitable for one-on-one conversations.

That may change if and when the purported voice calling feature makes it to X.

Support for calls will also help make X a more complete social media platform akin to Facebook and Instagram, and perhaps help it put some more distance between potential rivals like Threads and Bluesky.

Elon Musk first talk about calling functionality on the platform back in May.

Elon Musk had announced in a tweet :

"Coming soon will be voice and video chat from your handle to anyone on this platform, so you can talk to people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number,".
