      Ola S1 & Ola S1 Pro Electric Scooter Launched in India

      Ola has launch its first electric scooter in India. The OLA scooter will be offer in 10 colour options. Ola Electric open reservations for its electric scooter for a refundable deposit of Rs 499 on July 15. Ola announce that it had receive over 1 lakh bookings within the first 24 hours.

      The Ola Electric scooter launch in India on the country’s 75th Independence Day.

      Ola will launch the scooter in three variants depending on the needs of the customers.

      • First variant will have a 2kW motor.
      • The top speed for the first variant will be 45kmph.
      • Second variant will have a 4kW motor.
      • The top speed for the second variant will be 70kmph.
      • Third variant will have a 7kW motor.
      • The top speed for the third variant will be 95kmph.

      • Ola S1 starting price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom)
      • Ola S1 Pro starting price of Rs 1.29 Lakh (ex-showroom)

      The Ola had open bookings for the electric scooter at a refundable price of Rs.499.

      Specifications

      The Ola scooter will be power by an electric motor that is capable of a top speed of 115Km/h.

      Ola scooter is also said to be capable of a total range of close to 130-140 km on a single charge.

      The Ola scooter will also get other segment-leading features such as large underseat storage, digital instrument cluster, all-LED lighting and mobile phone connectivity and a segment-first app-base keyless experience.

      Ola said that it is working on setting up a ‘Hypercharger Network’ to include one lakh charging points across 400 cities.

      Ola Electric will have fixed charging stations (including slow- and fast-charging points) in 100 cities across India at the time of the Series S’ launch and will eventually cover more than 400 cities.

      Ola to sell directly to buyers online and deliver the scooter to their homes also means it can retail and service its e-scooter in practically every city in India.

      Ola has confirm that the scooter will get 150 km all electric range but it will be real-life figure and not just a promise number.

      Charging Time

      Ola Electric Scooters will take around two and a half hours to fully charge from zero if you charge it from a charging station.

      The batteries can charge up to 50% in just 18 minutes at a hyper charging station.

      The scooter will take five and a half hours to completely charge if you are using a regular plug at home.

      Owner will get a notification on an app when fully charged.

      Ola has already confirm to offer 10 colour options with the upcoming electric scooter.

      Ola Electric scooter battery details and FAME-II subsidy eligibility

      The top specifications S1 Pro variant of the Ola Electric scooter is likely to have a battery capacity of over 3.6 kWh but the battery itself will be fixed, and not removable.

      The high capacity lithium-ion battery means the scooter will be eligible for a FAME-II subsidy of well over Rs 50,000.

      The Ola scooter comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display.

      The screen will display important information about the scooter and GPS navigation.

      Ola scooter comes with a 4G connectivity and will support features like Youtube, Calling and many more..

      The Ola scooter will diagnose and send a report to the owner as well as the service centre.

      Ola scooter also comes with a keyless ignition as well as a ‘find my scooter’ feature.
