Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has release a schedule in connection with direct admissions, list of candidates, subject change, attendance and other matters for Class 10th and Class 12th, “so that other activities of the examinations 2024 could be complete on time.”
The document is title, ‘Framework and significant guidelines in the context of the secondary and senior secondary certificate examination for guidance of the schools‘.
According to the schedule, submission of the list of candidates (LOC) for Class 10th and Class 12th will start on 14th August 2023 and continue till 13th September 2023 without late fees.
Submission of LOC with late fees will be allow from 14th to 22nd September 2023.
As per the guidelines, schools have to give admission, compile cases of direct admissions separately for Class 10th and Class 12th, send them to the concern regional office and resolve issues pertaining to deficiencies in admission cases by 31st August 2023.
As per guidelines :
“Cases of direct admissions in Class 10th and Class 12th and change of subject on account of direct admission after 15th July 2023 based on transfer of parent who is a government employee be sent to the concern regional office so as to reach within 7 days of admission."
Schools have time to compile data of children with special needs, send it to the regional office, resolve any issue of deficiency and submit the details in the LOC portal till 31st August 2023.
After students have applied for subject change, schools have to compile a list of the same and send it to the regional office, resolve issues if any and submit the correct subject name.
Schools have to submit the correct subject name in list of candidates (LOC) by 31st August 2023.
Same, schools have to compile attendance data for Class 10th and Class 12th up to 1st January of the academic session and submit it by 5th January 2024.
Schools will be notified of any deficiency in this regard by 15th January 2024 and they will have to fulfil that requirement by 20th January 2024.
Schools will receive approvals from the CBSE by 31st January 2024.
Students have to submit requests for olympiads or sports competitions by December which the schools will then send to the Sports Authority of India (SAI) or the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education for recommendations.
The schools then have to send it by 31st December 2023 to the regional office, which will approve the same by 15th January 2024.
Requests pertaining to wards of armed forces and paramilitary forces martyred in the line of duty will have to be sent by 31st January 2024.
