Facebook Messenger is coming with three new features in an update for its mobile app. The new features include three new chat themes, a quick reply bar, along with QR code scanning and payment links.
The update will be roll out for its Android and iOS apps.
Facebook mentioned that the QR code and payment links option is rolling out for users of the app in the US as of now.
The new themes will be available on both Messenger and Instagram.
The update for Messenger was announce on Facebook’s blog on 10th June 2021.
New themes are as follows :
- Olivia Rodrigo,
- Fast & Furious 9 (F9),
- World Oceans Day.
- The theme for Olivia Rodrigo marks her debut album, Sour, that was release on 21st May 2021.
- The F9 theme has been release to celebrate 20 years of the Fast and Furious franchise.
- The theme for World Oceans Day celebrated on 8th June 2021 which lets you virtually explore the oceans around the world while also promoting sustainability.
A quick reply bar has added to the bottom of the media viewer in Messenger.
You can simply reply to the image or video while viewing it in full-screen mode and without having to return to the main chat to reply to the media.
You can subsequently swipe up on the media to return to main chat box.
