      WhatsApp Windows beta now allows opening chats with unknown contacts

      According to report, WhatsApp’s Windows native app has receive an update (version 2.2342.6.0) via the beta channel on the Microsoft Store.

      This update brings the ability to open chats with unknown phone numbers, a feature previously available to iOS and Android users.

      You can now initiate conversations without needing to save the phone number in their address book, simplifying communication with new or temporary contacts.

      This new feature is currently available to select beta testers who have download the latest update from the Microsoft Store.

      As it is expect to become more widely accessible in the coming days.

      This new feature in WhatsApp’s Windows native app allows users to initiate chats with unknown phone numbers by entering the number directly.

      This feature is accessible through the “New chat” screen under the “Phone number” section.

      It expands on the previous capability of searching for numbers within the chat screen, providing users with a more direct way to start conversations with unfamiliar contacts.

      WhatsApp Improves Group Calls Experience, Lets Users Call Up to 31 Participants With Latest Update: Report

      WhatsApp is rolling out a new update to users on iOS that improves the group calling experience on the popular messaging platform.

      According to reports, the latest stable version of the app, WhatsApp for iOS 23.22.72, comes with one notable change, the ability to initiate a group conversation with up to 31 participants.

      The changelog for the app doesn’t actually mention the new limit on calling group members, but includes other recently added features and functionality.

      Now WhatsApp lets you start a group call with up to 31 participants effectively making it easy to start a group call than on older versions of the app. 

      WhatsApp would only allow you to initiate a group call with only up to 15 participants and other members could join the call manually. 

      WhatsApp has been rolling out new features over the past few weeks, including the ability to log in with multiple accounts on the same smartphone and support for passkeys on Android.

      Users who have two phone numbers will finally be able to sign up for WhatsApp with their second number, using the same app.
