      Gujarat Government Lifts Alcohol Ban within GIFT City Campus at Gandhinagar to Promote Global Business | Details Inside

      Gujarat government has given relaxation of liquor ban in some parts of the dry state to stimulate international trade is all set to change the dynamics of trade in Gujarat. From the establishment of Gujarat, it has a dry state and this move of easing the stringent liquor prohibition laws within the GIFT City campus at Gandhinagar is appreciate by the trade fraternity.

      This permission specifically permits the provision of “wine and dine” facilities within the GIFT City campus at Gandhinagar as it is believe to boost the trade connections for the state.

      Gujarat has famous for being the birthplace of the legendary father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi Ji, following and adopting his principles the state has adhere to a ban on the production, storage, sale, and consumption of alcoholic beverages since its inception.

      But the recognizing the evolving character of GIFT City as a flourishing global financial and technological hub, Gujarat government has chosen to revoke and make adjustments with certain restrictions to cater to the needs of the international community.

      As per official statement release :

      "The relaxation in liquor laws aims to nurture a "global business ecosystem" within GIFT City. This strategic move is anticipated to benefit not only the employees and officials based in GIFT City but also extend to visitors and stakeholders involve in various economic activities within the area.’’

      Gujarat government’s prohibition department emphasize GIFT City’s significance as a hub of economic activities, deeming it necessary to adapt to the changing requirements of a global audience.

      The official statement clarified that under the new policy, hotels, restaurants, and clubs within the GIFT City area will be eligible for permits to offer “wine and dine” facilities.

      Now people will be allow to drink liquor within these facilities, the sale of liquor bottles will not be permit.

      As per the statement liquor access permits will be grant to owners and employees of companies operating in GIFT City, and temporary permits will be extend to their visitors.

      As this is a calculated approach is design to strike a balance between meeting the demands of a global business environment with ensuring responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages.
