Nothing, led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, is taking significant strides in both its product and service offerings. Alongside the global rollout of the Nothing Phone 1’s latest software update, Nothing OS 2.0.4, featuring a new photo widget and interface improvements, the company has also launch its first exclusive service center in Bengaluru, India.
This new facility, which was initially said to open in August, complements Nothing’s existing network of 300 third-party service centers across the country, aiming to provide enhance services and benefits to Nothing Phone 1 users.
Nothing Phone 1 Gets Nothing OS 2.0.4 Update With New Features, Bug Fixes
Nothing has start rolling out a new software update for its Nothing Phone 1 globally.
The latest build, Nothing OS 2.0.4 introduces a new photo widget while also restyling various elements of the interface.
This update also brings an app drawer to hide and organise unwanted apps.
Nothing is also addressing some of the known bug fixes with its latest rollout, including the issue causing lock screen widgets to not be displayed properly after restarting with resolving other vulnerabilities.
The Nothing announce the rollout of Nothing OS 2.0.4 for the Nothing Phone 1 via a tweet on 17th October 2023.
The new firmware update comes with new features, many improvements, bug fixes, and performance optimisations.
This update is 6.06MB in size.
You can check for an update by going over to Settings –> System –> System Update.
This new build adds a hidden apps drawer to access the apps that are relocated and hidden from the app drawer.
This can be access by swiping to the left side of the app drawer.
The Nothing OS 2.0.4 also brings a Photo widget.
This will allow users to display their favourite photos on the home screen or lock screen.
Upgrading to Nothing OS 2.0.4 will allow the charging tooltip in the lock screen to accurately reflect the charging speed.
Nothing also fix issues causing lock screen widgets to not be displayed properly after restarting in the new build.
With this update, the clone instance of WhatsApp now properly supports App Locker.
The firmware update also enhances the stability of Wi-Fi hot spotting alongside offering bug fixes for the company’s first smartphone.
As Nothing Phone 1 launch with Nothing OS 1.0 based on Android 12 in July 2022, the company sent out the Nothing OS 1.5.4 update to the phone in May.
It has receive a couple of updates in the short time since then, with the most this new one adding new home screen and app management features.
Nothing Exclusive Service Center Opens In India With 2 Hour Priority Service
In June 2023, Nothing had announce its plans to open its first-ever service center in India.
It is in Bengaluru and is open to the public.
The service center was initially expect to be open in August but there was a delay.
Nothing already has 300 service centers (third-party) across the country.
But, the exclusive center provides various services and benefits to the customer.
Nothing’s first exclusive service center is situate on the second floor, above GKB Opticals at 100 feet Indiranagar in Bengaluru.
It aims to offer a one-of-a-kind experience to the customers.
The service center also has an arcade cabinet providing the best premium coffee in the country.
Being the first exclusive service center in India, Nothing says that it will provide priority service resolution in under two hours.
Also, in case of delay, Nothing will provide a standby smartphone for customers that doesn’t affect their personal lives.
Nothing will also hold bi-monthly, every second Saturday and Sunday service camps with special offers at the center.
You can also experience Nothing’s newly launch products.
There will also be tech workshops with community members.
Customers can also avail of product replacements at the service center within 7 days of purchase.
