Ola Electric Car : First Ola Electric Car to be a Large Sedan

Ola Electric has suggest that the first Ola electric car could be a large sedan and not an entry-level hatchback. This was reveale via a teaser shown during the recent customer’s day at the Ola Electric factory.

Ola Electric, after gaining popularity in the two-wheeled EV space with its electric scooter, had recently confirm that it is working on an electric car.

Ola has shown off the first teaser of three of its electric four-wheelers at a Customer Day event held at its plant recently.

Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola, has said that further details about the EV range will be disclose on 15th August 2022.

The teaser shows us three cars, which are likely to include a SUV, a hatchback and a sedan.

Of those three cars, two, the SUV and the sedan, had coupe-like styling.

Ola sedan will come with a low-slung stance, a muscular body, and the steep roofline.

One of the electric cars with a stubby front profile, which suggests a sporty hatchback.

You can also spot one car with an upright rear-end and an invert U-shape connect tail lamp design, which should be an SUV.

Ola Electric Car Date and Prices (Expected)

Ola had earlier said it would launch the Ola electric car by 2024, given the 15th August 2022 reveal date we expect Ola to adhere to this timeline despite the shift in its strategy.

The Ola Electric Car should also be an upmarket offer price at over Rs 20 lakh.

      Details of Ola Electric Car

The teaser suggests the first Ola electric car will be a sharply style sedan, possibly in the C or D segment.

The renders show full-width LED lightbars and a striking split fascia.

There’s a heavily raked coupe roofline and some muscular haunches.

At the rear too there is a sharp LED light bar and what seems like an aerodynamically-optimise rear section.

This is a big departure from the low-cost hatchback Ola had previously showcase and may have done to make a better business case for an electric car in the current scenario.

A larger, more upmarket sedan will allow Ola Electric to manage costs better than a small, low-margin hatchback.

The Ola Electric Car could be reveal on 15th August 2022.

The front profile of all the three models sports the illuminated “Ola” branding.

The teaser also shows sharp edges along the EVs’ sides, which adds to their sporty design.

All the three cars sport the same red shade.

As Ola had also put out a teaser/rendering of a hatchback, with some officials also confirming that a sub-10 lakh electric hatchback was indeed in the works.

Ola had earlier put out a teaser/render which show a hatchback.

Officials of the company also suggest that a sub-10 lakh electric hatchback was being plan.

      Ola Electric Car Expected Range

Ola should be able to pack in a large battery pack.

We suspect anywhere between 50 to 70 kWh could be a possibility which should give the Ola EV a sizeable real-world range.

There should also be fast DC charging speeds and we wouldn’t be surprise if Ola also decides to set up its own high-speed charging network for these cars, same as the Tesla.

The Ola electric car should also come with some notable tech features, a major highlight of which will be ADAS.

This could start off a basic Level 1 or Level 2 system before being upgrade further via OTA updates.

As in the norm, there should be a significant suite of connected-car features as well as large screens.
