      UPDATE : YouTube Starts Rolling Out Picture-in-Picture Mode for iOS Users

      YouTube has starts rolling out the Picture-in-Picture mode for all YouTube Premium subscribers on iOS worldwide which includes India. Now iPhone users will now be able to watch YouTube videos in a mini player while using other apps.

      Google announce Picture-in-Picture (PiP) support for YouTube users on iOS in June this year.

      YouTube also earlier this week started inviting its Premium subscribers to test the feature ahead of its formal rollout.

      NOTE :
      • It is important to note that you currently need to sign up for the testing of the Picture-in-Picture mode on YouTube for iOS by going to the YouTube’s experimental features website from your Web browser and clicking on the Try it out button available under the ‘Picture-in-picture on iOS’ listing.
      • Make sure that you are visiting the site after signing in with your YouTube Premium account.

      How to Use YouTube Picture-in-Picture on iOS?

      Follow These Steps :

      1. When you signed up for testing then open the YouTube.
      2. Click on any of your favourite videos.
      3. Swipe up or press the home button on your iPhone to watch the video in Picture-in-Picture mode.

      Note that in some cases users may need to re-install the YouTube app on your iPhone to get the PiP mode.

      Users should also have the latest YouTube version installed to get the new experience.

      This testing for Picture-in-Picture on YouTube for iOS is available until 31st October 2021.
