      CBSE Signs 15 MOUs to Promote Skill Education, Assessment and Teacher Training

      With a vision to promote Skill Education, Assessment, and capacity building of teachers, CBSE has sign 15 MoUs with different Institutes.

      The NEP emphasises stronger collaboration between academia and industry.

      The curriculum needs to be align with industry requirements, making provision for internships and apprenticeships for students to promote industry exposure. 

      It is equally important to update the capacity of teachers for desire outcomes.

      CBSE has thus enter into strategic partnerships for skill development, education, and training.

      In order to ensure that students acquire a diverse set of expertise and ensure the availability of quality infrastructure with exposure to students to emerging technologies, 12 MOUs have sign with Sector Skill Providers such as Atal Innovation Mission, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Apparel Made-ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, Automotive Sector Skill Council, Sports, Physical Education, Fitness and Leisure Skills Council, Logistics Sector Skill Council, Furniture and Fittings Sector Skill Council, Life Sciences Sector Skill Council Textiles Sector Skill Council, Healthcare Sector Skill Council.

      These Sector Skill Councils will further assist in preparation of skill modules, study materials for skill subjects at different levels, organising competitions/Hackathons for students, and training teachers.

      The Central Square Foundation (CSF) will support CBSE in SAFAL, a competency-based census assessment as recommend in the NEP for grades 3, 5, and 8 for school development.

      The partners will prepare quality competency-based assessments for Conducting SAFAL for grades 3, 5, and 8.

      Training Manuals will be develop by Educational Initiatives Pvt Ltd and Oxford University Press India on the development of a Competency-Based Capacity Building Programme (CBP) for teachers in English, Maths, Science, and Social Science, Updation of existing CBP on strengthening Assessment and Evaluation and development of training materials and in the development of Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on National Curriculum Framework Foundational Stage (NCF- FS).

      Education Ministry Inks 106 MoUs to Foster Innovation and Research

      The Ministry of Education has sings 106 MoUs with prestigious organisations and institutions, paving the way for an exciting era of collaboration in education and industry-academia partnerships.

      These agreements are set to fuel innovation, drive groundbreaking research, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge across diverse domains, promising significant advancements for the future.

      To commemorate the third anniversary of the launch of the new National Education Policy (NEP), a momentous day was mark with the signing of many memoranda of understanding (MoUs) during the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam.

      The MoUs were sign in association with the Atal Innovation Mission, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Apparel Made-ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, Automotive Sector Skill Council, Sports, Physical Education, Fitness and Leisure Skills Council, Central Square Foundation (CSC), Educational Initiatives Private Limited, Oxford University Press India, Logistics Sector Skill Council, Furniture and Fittings Sector Skill Council, Life Sciences Sector Skill Council, Textiles Sector Skill Council and Healthcare Sector Skill Council.

      The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) took significant strides by signing three crucial MoUs.

      The first MoU was with the Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC), aiming to promote Indian sign language and foster collaboration for standardizing and developing top-notch learning resources in this language.

      The second MoU was with the Common Service Centres, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, with the primary goal of leveraging CSC e-governance services to facilitate admissions of Out of School Children (OoSC) into NIOS, boosting enrolment, and enhancing e-services.

      The third MoU was sign with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, focusing on academic advancement and mutually beneficial cooperation.

      An MoU between Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) and IBM was also sign to accelerate the activities conduct for effective implementation of the Vigyan Jyoti programme in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), as per PTI.

      In a significant move to strengthen educational initiatives, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) enter into 20 MoUs under the eVidya initiative.

      These partnerships were establish with the departments of school education in various states to collaboratively develop high-quality content accessible through PM eVIDYA DTH TV channels.

      The initiative aims to cater to diverse stakeholders and promote learning in different languages.

      The National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) came together to sign fourteen MoUs in collaboration with esteem organisations.

      Many notable MoUs were sign to foster innovation and knowledge exchange in diverse fields:

      • The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati, and the IIFCET join hands to offer an advance certification and training course on “Digital Manufacturing and Automation for Foundry Industry.” The initiative aims to enrich the knowledge of diploma holders and graduate engineers employ in the industry.
      • IIT Tirupati partner with Siemens to establish a cutting-edge “Centre of Excellence on Smart Manufacturing and Electric Vehicle Technologies.” This collaboration seeks to drive advancements in these critical domains.
      • IIT Jodhpur and the Central University of Rajasthan united for an “Academic Collaboration and Resource Sharing” initiative. This cooperation is expected to enhance the academic landscape and facilitate resource exchange between institutions.
      • IIT Ropar join forces with five central universities of North India to foster academic collaboration and resource sharing. This partnership seeks to strengthen research and knowledge dissemination in the region.
      • VNIT-Nagpur and TCS collaborate on path-breaking research in areas such as automotive electronics, power electronics, and other interdisciplinary subjects. This partnership is set to pave the way for groundbreaking advancements in these fields.

      The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Raipur has sign an MoU with the Bhilai Steel Plant, the largest steel plant in the country.

      Also, 15 MoUs with different states were establish under the PM-USHA initiative, showcasing the significant impact of this collaborative effort.

      The University Grants Commission (UGC) sign five MoUs, fostering international academic collaborations and enriching global partnerships.

      The agreements were sign between the following institutions:

      • University of Mumbai and University of Illinois (US)
      • University of Mumbai and Saint Louis University (US)
      • Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya and L N Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan
      • University of Lucknow and Lincoln University College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
      • University of Lucknow and Universidade Federal do Ceara, Brazil
