To promote the practice of taking invoices or bills for all purchases, government of India has introduce the “Invoice Incentive Scheme” known as “Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar” in collaboration with State Governments.
Central Government has said ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar Scheme‘ to increase the number of GST bills.
This scheme will start from 1st September 2023.
Government has announce that it will give an attractive reward of Rs 1 crore through this scheme.
What is Mera Bill Mera Adhikar Scheme?
As it announce by the Finance Ministry that under the Mera Bill Mera Adhikar scheme, people will get a reward of Rs 1 crore with many other rewards.
In this scheme every month the government will select 800 people.
These 800 people will be those who will upload their GST Bill every month.
These 800 people get a reward of Rs 10,000.
Apart from these 800 people, government will also select 10 people who will get an amount of Rs 10 lakh as reward.
Only 2 people will get the benefit of the amount of 1 crore.
The benefit of this scheme will be available only to those traders who will upload Goods and Services Tax (GST) bills on quarterly basis.
Traders will have to upload their GST bill on the Mera Bill Mera Adhikar app.
And also, he can also upload GST bill by visiting web.merabill.gst.gov.in.
Traders will have to upload a GST bill of at least Rs 200 to avail the benefits of this scheme.
Why Mera Bill Mera Adhikar Scheme started?
Government has brings this scheme so that it can motivate more and more people to take the GST bill.
Apart from this, the increase in GST bill is also the reason.
This scheme will prove to be very effective so that the government can crack down on tax evasion.
Apart from this, the income of the government will also increase through this scheme.
How to Upload a GST bill on Mera Bill Mera Adhikar App?
Follow These Steps :
- First download the Mera Bill Mera Adhikar app.
- If you do not want to use the app then you can go to official website.
- After this you have to upload your GST bill.
- You must upload a GST bill of at least Rs 200.
- In this scheme, a user can upload only 25 GST bills in a month.
How to get Benefit of Mera Bill Mera Adhikar Scheme?
To avail the benefits of scheme, you will have to enter information like GSTIN invoice number, bill amount, tax amount and date and others details.
Apart from this, any person who gets the benefit of this scheme will have to upload his PAN number, Aadhaar number, bank account information on the Mera Bill Mera Adhikar app.
The winner will have to give all this information within 30 days.
