PhonePe has launch the ‘Indus Appstore Developer Platform‘. PhonePe is inviting app developers on the Android platform to upload and list their apps on the platform, which will launch soon.
This store will offer a ‘localized experience‘ in 12 languages, targeting to the Indian audience.
PhonePe said that the listing of apps will be free for the first annual, after which the developers will have to pay a “nominal annual fee“.
The Appstore will not levy any platform charges or commissions for in-app payments.
In the press release, PhonePe said that developers would be allow to integrate a payment gateway of their preference within their apps.
This store will offer an alternative channel to diversify developers’ apps in the Indian Android market.
The app market will offer “multilingual app discovery.”
For new apps, the Indus store will have a dedicated space, ‘Launch Pad’ for better visibility and search results.
A “round-the-clock customer support“, the ability to host apps in 12 languages apart from English and engaging videos would be available for developers.
