Poco India Head, Himanshu Tandon has hint at the arrival of a new budget 5G smartphone in the country.
Himanshu Tandon on X (formerly Twitter) on 5th March 2024 post that Poco is extending its partnership with Airtel to launch a new handset.
Poco release an Airtel-exclusive variant of the Poco C51 in July 2023.
It offers an Airtel Prepaid connection and includes exclusive benefits from Airtel.
The Poco C51 runs on the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC and comes with a 5,000mAh battery.

It is claim to be the most affordable 5G phone ever to be launch in India.
While replying to comments on the posts, Himanshu Tandon said the upcoming smartphone will not be an “Airtel version” of an existing device, hinting at a new phone.
But, when a user ask Himanshu Tandon whether it would be the Airtel edition of Poco M6 5G, he replied “true”.
Poco launch the Poco C51 in April 2023 with a price tag of Rs. 8,499 for the single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.
The Airtel-exclusive version later comes in July for Rs. 5,999.
Poco C51 comes with an Airtel Prepaid connection and 50GB of one-time free mobile data.
The Poco C51 features a 6.52-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display with 120Hz touch sampling rate.
Poco C51 is power by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 SoC with 4GB of RAM.
The inbuilt RAM can be virtually expand up to 7GB by using 3GB of unuse storage.
Poco C51 features a dual rear camera unit comprising a primary 8-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary depth sensor.
The Poco C51 includes a 5-megapixel sensor at the front.

Poco Teases Launch of a Neo Phone in India, Could Be Poco X6 Neo
The Poco seems to be gearing up to unveil the Poco X6 Neo in India soon.
The Xiaomi sub-brand on 6th March 2024 share a teaser on its social media handle to offer hints about the arrival of the Poco X6 Neo without confirming the exact name or launch date.
The Poco X6 Neo is tip to come as a rebrand version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro that launch in China in November 2023.
Poco X6 Neo is expect to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC.
On an X post, Poco announce the launch of a new Poco Neo series smartphone in India.
The post doesn’t specify the exact launch date of the smartphone, but the Poco X6 Neo which has in the rumour mill for the past few weeks is anticipated to break cover soon.

Himanshu Tandon reiterated that the Poco M65 5G offer the same chipset under Rs. 10,000, urging buyers to wait for the new Neo phone.
Poco X6 Neo is expect to come in an orange colour option with dual rear cameras, resembling the design language of the Redmi Note 13R Pro.
Poco X6 Neo can has price under Rs. 16,000.
