The IPL 2024 Auction is schedule for 19th December 2023 at Dubai’s Coca Cola Arena, will witness 333 cricketers coming up for bidding. This proceedings are said to commence at 2:30 pm IST.
Harry Brook, the batter from England, and Travis Head, the Australian all-rounder opener are slotted in the Rs 2 crore base-price category for the upcoming IPL Auction 2024 to take place in Dubai.
As per IPL media release :
"Out of 333 players, 214 are Indians and 119 are overseas players of which 2 players are from associate nations. The total capped players are 116, uncapped players are 215 and 2 from associate nations,".
"A maximum of 77 slots are now available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players. 23 players chose to be slotted in the highest bracket of Rs 2 crore while 13 players are in the auction list with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore,".
In the top base price category of Rs 2 crore, the three Indian capped players are seamers Harshal Patel and Shardul Thakur with pacer Umesh Yadav.
Harshal, who get a remarkable Rs 10.75 crore deal in the auction two years ago, earn this significant sum following an outstanding IPL season that also earn him a spot in the national team.
While the franchises, Gujarat Titans have the most substantial purse with Rs 38.15 crore, follow by Sunrisers Hyderabad with Rs 34 crore.
The total spending limit for the 10 franchises collectively stands at Rs 262.95 crore.

BCCI Invites Tender for Title Sponsor for the IPL 2024-2028 Cycle
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announce the release of ‘Invitation to Tender for Title Sponsor Rights‘ for the Indian Premier League Seasons 2024-2028.
The BCCI announce the news via an official press release on 12th December 2023.
Tata Group held the title sponsorship till the end of the 2024 season and the BCCI have now put out fresh tenders for the same.
The Tata Group took over from Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo back in 2022 due to political tensions at the time.
Vivo’s sponsorship right had pause back in 2020 when India face cross-border tensions with China.
Dream 11 had taken over from Vivo for the two-year period and the Tata Group took over from there.
As per BCCI press release :
"The Governing Council of the Indian Premier League (IPL) invites bids from reputed entities for acquiring the Title Sponsor Rights for the Indian Premier League Seasons 2024-2028,".
"The detail terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, process for submissions of bids, rights and obligations, etc. are contain in the 'Invitation to Tender' ("ITT") document which will be made available on receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 5,00,000 (Indian Rupees Five Lakh Only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax. The procedure to procure the ITT documents is enlist in Annexure A to this notice. The ITT will be available for purchase till 8th January, 2024,".
